Meal Plans

 Resident Students

The dining plan rates for the 2007 - 2008 School Year are as follows.

On-campus residents are assigned a Dining Plan based on their classification.

  • New Students to TCU have the option of selecting one of 3 dining plans:
$1400 Dining Plan (About $12 per day)
$1600 Dining Plan (About $14 per day)
    $1800 Dining Plan
    (About $16 per day)

If students do not choose a meal plan, the plan will automatically default to the $1,400/semester plan. Regardless of which plan is chosen, the student will only be responsible for $1,400/semester and will be credited any remaining funds at the end of the academic year.

  • Resident Sophmores will be assigned the $1200 Dining Plan.
  • Resident Juniors and Seniors will be assigned the $1000 Plan.
  • Tom Brown/Pete Wright Community residents are assigned the $600 Dining Plan.

Add-ons to assigned dining plans may be submitted done at the ID Center, Student Center.

Unused funds from upgrades/additions, are refundable.

Our dining plans allow students to purchase their meals individually, giving them more control over how their money is used.

Once a dining plan is assigned, the dollar amount is then credited to the student account to which the TCU ID card is linked. The ID card then doubles as a debit card for on-campus dining.

When purchasing a meal, the student can choose from a wide assortment of foods at any one of our Eight dining locations. Once a selection is made, the student will only pay for the items selected, having that amount debited from their account.

The cost of each meal is solely dependent on the choices made.

Convenience
Isn't your debit card one of the most convenient things you carry with you?
You can enjoy that same convenience on campus when you buy your Frog Pass. While we recommend that you start at $400/semester, you can start at any dollar amount you wish. With your Frog Pass, you won't have to worry about carrying cash because your TCU ID Card becomes your On-Campus debit card.
And just like VISA, it's accepted everywhere you wish to dine on campus.
Additionally, any balance on your card at the end of the school year will be refunded to your TCU Student Account.

Flexibility
You don't have to worry about not eating at specific times or places while on campus, as we have seven dining locations ready to serve you.
The Frog Pass is designed to give you maximum flexibility, as there are no set meals and you only pay for the selections you make.

Security
The back of the TCU ID Card states that use of the card is non-transferrable.
We, at TCU Dining Services, enforce this policy so that no one but you can use your card. If it's stolen or lost, just report it to the ID Card Center so that it can be deactivated.
